How to swap ETH to USDC (and keep fees low)
Swapping ETH for USDC takes a minute. Paying more than you need to is just as quick. Here's how to do it from your own wallet, and the three choices that decide what it really costs.
Step by step
- Open the swap page and connect your wallet.
- Pick the network your ETH is on.
- Sell ETH, receive USDC, and enter the amount.
- Open the fee details under the quote and check what you'll receive after all fees.
- Confirm in your wallet.
Choice 1: the network
The same swap can cost a few cents on Base or Arbitrum and several dollars on Ethereum, depending on how busy it is. If you swap often, keeping your funds on a low-fee network saves the most. See the cheapest network for USDC.
Choice 2: slippage
Slippage is how much worse than the quote you'll accept if the price moves. For ETH to USDC, a busy pair, it rarely needs to be high. High slippage invites bots to take the difference. See how sandwich attacks work.
Choice 3: how the swap is executed
On this site you sign an order instead of sending a public swap. Solvers compete to fill it, and orders in the same batch share one price. That protects you from sandwich bots, and when you sell a token with a signed order, an order that doesn't fill costs you nothing.
What you pay
- Network costs: shown in the quote and taken from the ETH you sell.
- Our service fee: 0.5%, already included in the quote.
- Selling ETH: the first time, your wallet may ask for a transaction that pays a small network fee. Selling tokens like USDC can often be done with just a signature.
Nothing here is financial advice. Crypto transactions cannot be reversed.
